What you'll do:

  • To develop and maintaining production schedules to ensure that goods are produced on time and in sufficient quantities to meet customer demand..
  • To assist in raw material planning, monitor forecasting, inventory and warehouse control to ensure the optimal stock levels.

Your key responsibilities:

1. Developing production schedules: Work with other departments such as sales, operations, and procurement to develop production schedules that take into account factors such as production capacity, inventory levels, and customer demand.

2. Monitoring inventory levels: Responsible for monitoring inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to ensure that there is enough inventory to meet production needs without excessive overstocking. And to support smooth Production without disruption.

3. Managing production workflows: Manage the production workflows, including scheduling machine time, allocating labor, and coordinating with other departments to ensure smooth production.

4. Analyzing production data: Analyze production data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and areas for cost savings.

5. Identifying and resolving production issues: The production planner will be responsible for identifying and resolving production issues such as delays, bottlenecks, and quality issues.

6. Collaborating with other departments: Collaborate with other departments such as sales, commercial, supply chain, procurement, QA/QC and logistics to ensure that production schedules are aligned with overall business objectives.

7. Ensuring compliance with regulations: To ensure that production processes and schedules comply with relevant regulations such as health and safety regulations, environmental regulations, and labor laws.

8. Provide management reports relating to slow/non-moving/age items and blocked inventories (due to various reasons etc.).

9. Generate monthly aged stock and expired stock, for Finance Department to do write off provisions.

10. Generate Write-Off Reports for Management approval to write off slow /non-moving/age inventories, blocked stock with quality issues.

11. Other activities as and when assigned by the management team.

1. Display and always promote positive safety behaviors; use proper personal protective equipment, appropriate safety tools, equipment and procedures to ensure that self and others go home safe each day; that area and equipment operate at the highest safety levels; that all people in the area comply with the safety directives and keep the area neat and clean.

2. Demonstrates SHE leadership by setting standards and encouraging everyone to act responsibly and safely.

3. Support incidents investigation, reporting, and risks assessment in a timely basis.

4. All employees are to be aware of and follow all DSM Life Saving Rules and Security Rules.

5. Supports plant and corporate initiatives as outlined in the manufacturing plan. Follows the manufacturing work processes.

6. Adheres to the DSM SHE and Security behavior standards. Please refer to the attached.

You Bring:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in production planning preferably in the industry of ingredient supplier, food, supplement or similar manufacturer
  • Degree with preferably related to production planning and supply chain management
  • Good knowledge and understanding of SAP and MS office (specifically Excel and Power Point)
  • Good communication and negotiation skill to reaise with stakeholders
